Welcome! We are glad you are interested in Civil Air Patrol and in the Chattanooga Composite Squadron.

While we welcome pilots, you don’t have to be a pilot to join. CAP offers many avenues of volunteer service, including emergency services, training and mentoring for cadets, and aerospace education. We also need volunteers for community outreach, media relations and administrative responsibilities.

CAP has more than 1,700 squadrons throughout the nation. We suggest you locate one or more squadrons near you and visit during their regular meeting time. All squadrons are different in personality and focus, so look for the one that most closely matches your interests.

You must be at least 18 to join CAP as an adult member. National dues are $62 per year, ($25 for cadets) plus region and wing dues that vary in cost. See your
local commander for details on dues for your unit. For the protection of our cadets, prospective members must undergo a fingerprint screen.

To meet our local staff and get more information on the activities of the Chattanooga Composite Squadron you are welcome to visit any of our weekly meetings. For information on our local meeting location and times click here.
